Easel and Rocker Cards

September's workshop involved making easel and rocker cards.

We started with a basic rectangle easel card.  These are quite easy as you just fold the front of a blank card in half to create a 'slope' which you stick a piece of card to and decorate.  We did embossed backgrounds and decorated with images from Hunkydory's 'Pocket Pads' - Perfect Pets, Animals in the Snow and It's a Cute, Cute Christmas.

Next, we made circular easel cards.  This involved die-cutting 3 Scallop Circles.  One circle was scored in half and scored again in parallel close to the edge of the card (about a cm from the edge).  The half-way score line is folded to create a 'mountain' fold and the other folded to create a 'valley' fold.  The valley fold then creates a tab that can be glued to one of the other scallop circles.  The mountain fold creates your slope to attach the third scallop circle.
These were then decorated with die-cuts.

Finally we made rocker cards.  These are so simple - just die-cut a circle, fold in half and decorate!

The glittered backgrounds were created by taking off one layer from a piece of double sided adhesive sheet, sticking it to a piece of card and die-cutting a circle or outline shape.  The top layer of the adhesive sheet is then peeled off and covered with the glitter.  We used Cosmic Shimmer Holographic Glitterbitz, which just give an amazing sparkle!
