Festive Exploding Box Card

 The monthly workshop for October will be creating a Festive Exploding Box Card.  These are boxes where, when the lid is removed, the sides of the box fall away to reveal a gift or central decoration.

They are simple to make, with a square piece of card 21cm x 21cm.  Lines are then scored at 7cm and 14cm.  The card is turned through 90 degrees and scored again at 7cm and 14cm.  This creates a 'noughts and crosses' type grid on the card.

Cut the 4 corners out along the score lines, and fold the sides up to create the box.  The lid is made from a piece of card 13.5cm x 13.5cm, scored at 3cm on all 4 sides.

The fun part is the decoration as you can really go to town!  You can decorate with patterned papers, embossed card, die-cuts, stickers, gems etc!
